Menopause = Meant to Pause
My Menopause journey started early, as did my mother’s. I’m not sure why her’s started early, but mine was probably a combo of hereditary and surgery. At 45 years of age, I decided it was time to have my “tubes tied”. It was a decision I had wrestled with for awhile for various personal reasons, but the decision was made and carried through. By the time I was 46, I was in full on Menopause…symptoms and all. I had read and heard all of the horror stories, and I am sure that there are women out there that DO suffer I was extremely lucky and believe me I am thankful for this. However, that doesn’t mean that I didn’t go through, and still go through symptoms…almost 9 years later.
I am sharing my journey with you, the ups and downs, the wins and losses and what did and didn’t work. I am sharing all this in the hopes that it may help YOU out there. I didn’t have a wise, older woman in my family, or even a friend to show me the journey’s way. Perhaps I can be that for you, my dear friend.
