My kitchen has changed over the years. When I was in my early 20’s I focused on casseroles and quick/cheap, easy meals. Newly married and broke was the name of the game. So was gaining weight! In my late 20’s early 30’s babies came and life was beyond busy. Quick, easy and cheap dinners again because there was no time to spend in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. Babies need momma!! Weight stayed on and even invited a few
pounds, I mean friends over. Enter the wonderful 40’s kids are grown now and I can focus more on ME and those extra pounds. I discovered nutrition and healthy eating but also discovered WINE. Oh dear. Along that time Menopause also struck and, well…there went the best laid plans of me. Menopause also invited a few pounds, ahem…friends over and that is pretty much the story. Until 7 months ago when balance came into my life and a commitment to a good healthy diet full of clean, whole and nutritious food was the name of the healthy living game.
Recipes in Mama Kat’s kitchen will feature nutritious food, healthy food, clean eating food. Food that has enabled me to drop over 30 lbs, lower my cholesterol into very acceptable ranges and my blood pressure is amazing again. PLUS, I found my figure.
